66/365 Activist in Traning

We stood out in the sun for 2 1/2 hours today at a major intersection in Orange Park. Most of us wore red and held signs high for drivers to see as they stopped at the light. "50th No More!" Many shouted. "No More Cuts!" It was an attempt to raise awareness of the negligent underfunding of schools by the state of Florida, and our 14 year old daughter took part (pink blouse, black slacks, center). Will Tallahassee do the right thing? Will our sunburned faces and tired arms actually result in adequate funding for schools? Who knows, but the kids out there learned a lesson today. Sometimes believing in a cause means interrupting your social schedule, showing up and raising your voice.

I'm living proof that sometimes loud voices are heard! Great picture.

Actions leave a bigger imprint on our kids' souls than words. Go get 'em!! I'm proud of IMG...and her awesome parents!!
