Chicken and rice today, chili tomorrow, beef stew for later in the week. I prep them at 6 AM and they are smoking hot when I get home, providing dinner for 3 and leftovers enough for lunch the following day. Thank you, crock pot.

339/365 Long day, late breakfast
Should I admit this? After a long day with a rehearsal, early make-up call and a performance, we were jonesin' for some eats. Not many choices at 12:30 A.M. Chicken n' eggs was the perfect nightcap.

281/365 Diner Delish
This is a slice of cake, not just a rainbow cookie. I didn't eat it, but I just admired the nephew's slice from across the table. I love diners. Thank god we don't have any near home!

184/365 Beach, Burgers, and Besties
We enjoyed a morning on the shores of the Atlantic with our favorite toddler - and her parents. Even though our every request (goldfish cracker, pour the water on my feet) was answered with a polite "No," we love her still. By noon she'd had enough and started packing, so we did too. We had a bit of time before our 2 P.M. camp pick-up time , so we stopped and had hamburgers the size of our heads at the Sun Dog. A great morning.

98/365 We have great fortune
My job- an unfortunate turn in the economy has left me with too much time and too little income. EJ's chorus riser lifting incident- a classic series of unfortunate events.
But still I think we have great fortune.
We invaded the home of MJ, LJ, and LMJ last night, after a long day at the hospital (including 5 attempts at a nuclear spinal tap) and before our musical rehearsal for Into the Woods. We were down the block from them, literally, when I called and said, "How'd you like some company...now?" They opened their home, offered up their couch for reclining purposes, and even hooked us up with some awesome pizza.
Coming home after 10, tired and stressed, we were greeted by the BJNR crew. They had cooked and cleaned, and had an scrumptious angel-berry Greek yogurt delight waiting for our dessert.

95/365 No Vacancies
The BJNR crew arrives, hungry and wiggly, but we're prepared. Even though EG is still flat on his back, good friends and laughter will help us to get through this trying week. Medical testing, treatment and crossing our fingers are on tap.

50/365 Comforted by Comfort Food
30 degrees and windy in Towson, Maryland. I haven't slept at all on the road this week and I need something good. Enter the Towson Diner. Split pea soup, steak fries and a chef's salad. Yes, bring the bread basket. So what if I'm training for a race. I need happy food.

13/365 Goulash!
This big, steaming pot of goulash is almost ready. The 3 of us get 3 hearty meals from one recipe. Watching Paula Deen has given me some ideas that are good for my tastebuds, if not my waistline!
