What in the heck is happening to education? Mrs. J is everything I would want for my own child's teacher. Organized, methodical, engaging, caring, professional - the best teacher I know. This is a teacher who is dedicated, thoughtful and learned, reduced to tears over feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. The FCAT scores, the data, the reviews by literacy coaches, the assessments - too much information, too little connection with the kids.
